GoogleProv

Bottom line? We invite a handful of other improvisers to join us on stage as we live project the Google search engine onto a screen, using the results of searches to inspire and influence our scenes. The internet (and all that it tells us about ourselves) becomes our in-the-moment Muse.

GoogleProv is a long-form Harold-style performance which takes an audience suggestions and inserts it into the most renowned search engine in the world, Google, using the resulting options from the Query Suggestion Tool as a scene generator. One of the reasons this ends up being compelling (and hilarious) is because Google is straight out honest, and is a reflection of what it is that people look for on the internet. Consequently, the Query Suggestions from Google hit home in a way that individual suggestions don't always do because they come from the mighty power that is Google, powered not just by fancy computer algorhythms, but also by people and what it is that they are interested in.
